Disc golf and the story box.
Yesterday I went disc golfing with my friend Henry. It was AWESOME! We lost nine to three, but we were satisfied with that because they had Greg, Henry's dad. The teams were Henry and I, the Beasts (our team name was the name of our distance disc) vs. the Org's (their disc was actually ORC, but Grace insisted on org) their team was built up of Greg and Grace. There were lot's of goals but the most fun course's were in the woods. Greg would argue this but the woods were the most fun. There was shade and lots of trees to mess you up, to make it unpredictable and more fun.
The box in the garage has recently become a story telling box, what better place to tell stories than a cozy and warm box where you can sit up and not hit your head. We hide under the blanket if it gets cold and when we tell scary stories we get a flashlight to light up our box and faces. I plan to post a picture of my hair cut and the box to show you all just how GINORMOUS it really is!

never a medium day.
My days are always either super busy or stay at my house and do nothing, ESPECIALLY now that it's no screen week. There's been some exceptions like my dad working on the computor or all of my blog posts and if we were good we get to watch an Hour in the morning, so on days that I would have spent watching t.v. Aidan and I play in a GIANT box out in the garage! It originally was for the chair in the new room(which is looking AWESOME). And now it's been a rocket, an ambulance, a submarine and many more!
I also took camp to keep me busy. Vollyball camp was the best camp ever. In the last day we had a full game 4 games to twenty five and a final one to fifteen. My team won the first with ending scores of twenty to twenty five. We won the second game really closely 23 to 25. The third game they creamed us by scoring 10 with the first server, the final score being 25 to 15. The third game we lost by just a little 22 to 25. We started the final game and we end up being very close, 24 on them 23 0n us. Then I bumped their serve back to them and they missed, making the score 24 to 24. Vollyball is won by two so we go into a duece. They win advantage. They score the next point 25 to 25 now the first one to 27 wins. We win the advantage. 25 to 26. Then we serve. The girl looks ready to bump it, she hits it! But it doesn't go over!!! Everyone on the team charges to get that ball and they all miss. VICTORY!!!!! I did my best to try and capture the intensity of it all. Vollyball is one of my favorite sports.

hair cuts and kung-fu and hamsters OH MY
Yesterday (Saturday July 24) I finally got a hair cut!!!! I like my hair long, but it became ANNOYING. Always getting in my eyes and it was a pain to comb, plus I stopped liking the way it looked. Now it is a little shorter than perfect but it will grow out the way I want it to look. Plus shorter hair is better for swimming which I will be doing a lot of in VA beach, which I am totally pysched for. We are leaving on Friday.
If you read the tittle you're probably wondering where I got the kung-fu hamsters from. Aidan and I are able to get a prize when we finish a certain amount of summer homework. We got zhuzhu pet hamster ninjas!! I named mine Ashitaka after the main character in one of my favorite movies, Princess Mononoke, if you haven't seen the movie, SEE IT!!! Aidan also got one, he named it Zuko after the guy from Avatar the Last Airbender the T.V. show. It's fun to watch them battle. Mimi (our cat) watches too. I have a video but my dad is at work and I don't know how to put it up. I will post it later.

-last few days
During the course of the last few days, I started volleyball camp. The first day we were a little late and my mom knew I would be the youngest. I was and nervous and excited to go in and play even if I would be one of the only 11 year olds. The first thing the coach says to me is "thank god, another dude!" Then I realized not only was I the only one under thirteen. I WAS THE ONLY BOY!!
AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! After the first ten minutes of awkwardness, it became kind of fun. It was the same as it would have been with all boys we did the same drills and played the same games and even though I was the youngest I wasn't the least skilled, so I made up for my age. It's fun and tiring.
On sunday I played with the Kneidel's. Henry has gotten taller than me by far and Grace by just a little. We played hide and seek. It was really fun. I had a really good hiding spot. They couldn't find me even when they turned the light on. So when every one was found I shouted and then was found.
I also had swimming lessons. I had a twenty minute swim. In it you had to swim for twenty straight minutes without touching the wall, it was really quite easy, just float for half of it. I also learned how to make my clothes float. That was really hard.
My summer's been great so far! Read and post comments to find out more.

P.S. Ginny got a new favorite toy. It's a pheasant, she wanted me to tell you or why else would she be moving my chair with it. Also, Aidan passed his swim test where he had to swim for 10 minutes without touching the wall.

Rock Cats baseball
Forgot to add pictures of last night's Rock Cats baseball game. Papa, there was a real used to be race car and all of it's headlights and grill were stickers. You could rub your hand across them.
Notice our 2 GAME BALLS that we got. We were really lucky to each get one of the balls.
Happy Second Birthday Cole!
BEST DAY EEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEERRRRRRRR!!!!
It's the best day ever!!!!!! In the morning I had the extravaganza demo. It was kind of sad because it was the last demo the demo team would have this year. But on the bright side next year Aidan will be on it and we'll have all sorts of new demos to show you! After that my friend Tatiana and I went on all sorts of cool rides and meet up with some other demo team people.
The first ride I went on was a GINORMOUS ferris wheel and not only did we go on it just in a circle, you could control your spinning in your own individual circle and I spun around sssssssssoooooooooo fast for so many times and then I went on it again! This time with Ron. IT WAS EVEN WORSE! He had us spinning the whole time!!!!!! and then he stopped us upside down!!! And then we swung us right again as we came to a stop.
The next ride we went on was this giant top shaped thing that you went inside of and spun so fast you stuck to the padded wall! You got to stick to the wall and climb, it felt like you had super powers!!! After my forth time doing this at the very end of the ride it slowed down and I was sitting legs crossed sideways on the wall and every one else slide down... and I stayed up until the ride came to a complete stop. HOW WEIRD IS THAT!! I wasn't staying up from sweat. So how do think I stayed up there so long? Leave comments to tell me how you think I did that.
Then I went to Tatiana's house and went swimming. We played with her under water skate board, swam laps, and watched her baby cousin. We also had some contests like who can hold their breath the longest and who could swim the fastest, who could swim the longest, etc. then my parents picked me up and brought me to the best ball game of my life.
It was my first favorite farm team the Portland sea dogs vs. my second favorite farm team the New Britain rock cats. In the first inning, the dogs scored 6 runs!!!!! and the cats scored nothing til about the 4th inning, the cats score was up to one and dogs 7. Then the most AMAZING THING HAPPENED!!!!! This guy from the ground crew came up and had two balls in his hand he was talking to the people behind us then he tossed the ball to me!!! AND TO AIDAN!!!! has that ever happened before!!! YYYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!! so we both got balls used by future Red Sox's!!! OH MY GOSH!!!!
Then the score was 11 dog's and 2 cats in the eighth inning and it was really late so we decided to go home, so we drove home and went straight to bed, but not before putting my ball on it's stand. and that catches you up on the best day ever.

the last few day.
During the last few days I've started swimming lessons. They are a lot easer than I thought they would be. It's just crawl for 6 laps, back stroke for 8, then rest. My teacher, Joan, is teaching me "new" strokes like breaststroke and sidestroke but I have already learned them in another lesson at a different school. That is one of the reasons that it is so easy for me this time around. To get to swimming lessons, we have to drive all the way up to Rocky Hill, which is more than an hour round trip. On the way there, I read a book, the book I'm reading right now is called "The Devil's Arithmatic." It is a depressing book about the holocaust. It is really well writen but it is sad, cruel and gross. I would not read it by choice, but I have to read it for school.

On friday I saw the movie Despicable Me. It was O.K. You don't quit know what type of movie it was until half way through and it wasn't the movie that the commercials portrayed it as. One other problem I had was that it was too fast paced. They did not give you time to get attached to the characters.
On Saturday I had demo team practice in the morning and then I went over to the Muellers. We played a game where you got to buy and sell nerf guns bullets and some other stuff. My team won because we stole both monopoly boxes and Ben did not have a clue. We also had the best ice cream ever. I got a vanilla and watermelon soft serve swirl.

last day in N.Y
Today was our last day in N.Y. In the morning my mom told us we could all choose something to do. My mom brought us to the today show or NBC. It was really crowded in my opinion, but my mom says tomorrow will be even MORE crowded because Lady Gaga is preforming live. My dad was freaking out a little bit(more like ALOT!) and was open to mom's idea of eating breakfast in the shop next store and watching through the window seat at the counter. Now it was Aidan's turn to pick something to do.
As he ate breakfast he was torn between the "M&M WORLD" and the nintendo video-gaming world. He chose nintendo. He wasn't sure he chose right... until he got inside and saw the giant plastic pikachu. We searched the store and played some really weird games. Mom and Aidan were happy, and now it was my turn.
I chose the MET museum and went all the way through the Egyptian wing and learned a lot of complicated things about gods, structure, culture, and saw a lot of cool artifacts. We also took a lot of pictures which i just posted. We went through many different halls, and I had the most fun here. Then the final choice was my dads.
He wanted to go home.
We took the train to New Haven and then we drove the rest of the way home. That's where I am now.
More to come
