Today I went crabbing with my dad and cousins. We got the tools from our neighbors; the tools consisted of a stick wrapped up in string with a weight on the end, a 6ft long net that frankly could use a hose down and a big red bucket. When they gave us it they said they told us they would buy us some chicken necks, WHAT!! We thought she was kidding until she actually brought us the necks to us.

We couldn’t let a good pair old of chicken necks go to waste, so we went crabbing. The first step is to attach the meat. I wouldn’t have enjoyed this part but my dad’s expression made me smile. The second step is to toss the line in to the water, the third is the hardest step of them all (drum roll please). Wait... Until you catch one then reel it in and keep it.

With the crabs we caught, we put them in races (we only had one race) and in it crab #1 won. He had a huge lead in the beginning but when he made it to the leap of faith ( a drop off) he stood still. #2 caught up and stopped too. We thought they would tie but 1 over came his fear and jumped the leap of faith.

That’s all we did for crabbing. When we got back we said good-bye to Brian and Lauren. And we got into the car to go. That’s pretty much where we are now. Please forgive me for my smaller posts all this week I haven’t had very much time. More to come.

Quick note because I'm too busy getting ready for Grammie and Papa to renew their wedding vows at church (we're all going to be wearing our matching O'Loughlin T-shirts).

Yesterday we went to a carousel. It was fun. You grabbed at rings and if you grabbed the brass ring you got to go again for FREE. I only went on once because I got motion sick on the first ride. I did not hurl, just felt a little sick to my stomach. We did exercises with Uncle Brian. It was really fun. More to follow when I have more time.

I’M ON MY WAY!!!!! Rhode island here I come! Nothing of supreme awesomeness has happened yet. But I have learned a really fun card game from my

cousin Nic called “Card Castlers.” It’s totally AWESOME. Right know we’re still driving and I’m starting to feel car sick. See you all soon.

Next post should have some real excitement. -Connor

5 4 3 2 1 BLAST OFF!!!!

Hey every one. Today I built a rocket, and most of it was just a plastic bottle. It was actually really hard to build, but it wasn't rocket science. So instead of following the hard to read directions we put on some of our own attachments. It ended up working pretty well(though the front kept falling off. Maybe I should have read to the end of the directions, Oops).

The rocket is powered by a mix of vinegar and baking soda. When the two are mixed it forms into carbon dioxide gas. Since the gas is under pressure it blows off the cap and propels the rocket upward leaving us all smelling like vinegar... until it comes crashing down.
